Wolfson College, Oxford: the 2021 Berlin Lecture [rescheduled]

The 2021 Berlin Lecture, which had to be postponed in May at short notice, due to illness, will now take place on Thursday 2 December, 18:00–19:00

  • The rescheduled 2021 Berlin Lecture at Wolfson College, Oxford, will now be held on Thursday 2 December, 18.00–19.00
  • The lecture, on the theme of 'AI and Ethics: The Sense of Reality', will be presented jointly by Professor John Tasioulas, Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt, and Sir Tim Hitchens
  • John Tasioulas is Professor of Ethics and Legal Philosophy at Oxford, and the inaugural director of the University's Institute for Ethics in AI
  • Sir Nigel Shadbolt is the Principal of Jesus College, Oxford, and chairman of the Open Data Institute, which he co-founded with Sir Tim Berners-Lee
  • Sir Tim Hitchens is the President of Wolfson College, and a former diplomat, having served as UK Ambassador to Japan
