Kei Hiruta shortlisted for the RHS Gladstone Prize for 'Hannah Arendt & Isaiah Berlin'

Congratulations to Kei Hiruta, who has been shortlisted for the Royal Historical Society's Gladstone Prize for 'Hannah Arendt & Isaiah Berlin: Freedom, Politics & Humanity' (Princeton University Press)

The RHS Gladstone Prize is one of two annual book awards given by the Society, and titles eligible for the 2022 Prize must be:

  • the author’s first solely written history book
  • on a subject within a field of British or Irish history
  • an original and scholarly work of historical research by an author who received their doctoral degree from a British or Irish university
  • published in English during the calendar year 2021

RHS Gladstone Prize
